Raw Food Marathon Day Five

A few years ago whilst still living in the UK I listed all the fruits I ate in one year. It came in at a whopping 80+ varieties.

Apart from "where do you get your protein from" question, the other often asked question is "Don't you get bored eating the same stuff each day?". The former is easy to answer simply Google "protein myth". The latter on the surface seems a reasonable question to ask. After all I'm on a restrictive diet aren't I? I'm missing out on all those other 'food groups'; meat, fish, dairy, grains, eggs etc. let alone the fact my food is all raw!

 

I'm sure if you asked the majority of SAD (Standard Awful Diet) eaters what fruit they eat in a typical year it would barely reach 5 let alone double digits.

I know of some raw fooders who eat over 200 varieties of fruit.

I would be very suprised if the average raw fooder had less variety of food over a year compared with someone on SAD.

 

I love trying new fruits, although I do have my favourites;bananas, mangoes, dragon fruit, durian and all the berries.

Since Monday I've consumed 25 different types of fruit and that doesn't include oranges or avocadoes!

 

Raw Food consumed today:

 

Breakfast - 2 bananas, 1/2 cup blueberries, 1/2 cup strawberries, juice of 4 apples, 2 heaped tablespoons of Vitamineral green & hemp protein powder

Lunch - 6 large segments of organic pomelo, 4 mangoes

Evening Meal - 3 egg bananas + 1 organic romaine lettuce, bunch rocket, 4 large organic tomatoes, 3 organic spring onions, bunch of sweet basil, lemon juice, 1/3 cup sun dried tomatoes, 2 walnuts, 6 cashews

Snacks - 1 young coconut water, kale/cucumber/green-apple juice, 1/3 watermelon, handful grapes, 3 medjool dates, 2 peppermint teas, 1 egg banana, 1 organic banana, 4 prunes, 3 delget noor dates

 

Training/Exercise today:

 

Run - 12.87km (AM) [joggers nipple (ow) and sore glutes (from yesterday's squats, wall-slide and lunges I suspect) prevented me from clocking 5 miles this evening]

Bike - 7 miles (PM)
