Raw Food Marathon Day Nine
I thought I'd try something new today.
After my weights session at the gym this morning, as I was drinking my smoothie, I looked at the various classes the gym offered.
Body Combat sounded fun.
My Personal Trainer is into martial arts, both in practice and in theory (I think an element of his degree involved martial arts), anyway he encouraged me to try the Body Combat class this evening.
I had no idea what to expect, although I was surprised to see that I was the only male in a class of ten. Maybe these BODY XYZ classes are just aerobics and leotards with different names? ;-). The class involved doing certain set moves to high energy (and mostly awful) music with a bit of Rocky thrown in. The instructor spoke mainly in Thai which was all but impossible for me to follow. Luckliy a woman to the right of me knew what she was doing so I just copied her. I found the class relatively easy, despite throwing my all into the kicks and punches. I guess I'll find out tomorrow how hard the kicks et al were on my untrained muscles. I'm going to go again next Tuesday :-)
