Arghhhhhhh, disaster!

Late yesterday evening I stubbed/caught my right little toe on some furniture in the house. The pain was sharp and I knew I had done some sort of an injury. It's the same toe I broke over 3 years ago. So after a quick bit of ice was applied to calm the swelling I started to mope on the idea the marathon dream had been crushed.

As we were heading to Bangkok early this morning, the toe was simply strapped up to its neighbour and a trip to the hospital beckoned today.

Bangkok AM- we had already planned a trip to the rather luxurious Samitivej Hospital (check-up for my wife & bump), so afterwards I slipped away to be seen by the Doctor and to get an x-ray (very different experience to the UK when I broke my toe, but that's another story).

Thankfully it's not broken but the doc said it will take 10-14 days to heal. I asked him about running, he said light jogging is OK once the pain has gone.

He looked surprised when I said I'm running in the London marathon in 7 days. Oh well all I can do is hope for the best. No running this week. I may do some cycling mid week when I'm in the UK. I've had 4 wheatgrass shots today :-)
